Massage Cupping

Massage Cupping is a vast modality that the ancient Chinese used for healing and is still a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine or (TCM)  today. A partial vacuum is created in the cups that have been placed on the skin by means of suction that draws up underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place. TCM teaches us that cupping can penetrate the tissue four inches deep into the body: causing tissues to release toxins or (negative Qi). Benefits of cupping will vary with each client. Massage Cupping relieves what is called “stagnation” in TCM terms, and is used in the treatment of respiratory diseases such as the common cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis. Cupping is also used to treat back, neck, shoulder, and many other musculoskeletal pain. It can help with weight loss, spider veins and treat stretch marks.

Himalayan Salt Stone Massage

We’ve taken a traditional Hot Stone Massage and given it a unique twist. Himalayan pink salt is harvested from deep within the ancient Himalayan mountain range of Pakistan. It is considered by many to be the purest, cleanest salt in the world. Its crystalline structure is superior and easily metabolized by the body. When warmed, the negative ion potential of the stone is ignited, thereby releasing a life generating power for the body and our central nervous system. Benefits of a Himalayan Salt Stone Massage include: deep relaxation, reduced inflammation of the tissues, and improved sleep. It has an energetic effect on the body and creates a sense of well being.

Reflexology is both a science and an art. Ancient cultures followed the long-established principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the major glands, organs, and parts of the body. Stimulating or “working” these reflex areas properly can open blocked energy pathways. Opening these pathways can help reduce stress, induce deep relaxation, improve circulation and increase energy. The ultimate goal is to help the body become more balanced and experience a sense of well-being at all levels.
