Katherine Schroeder - LMT
Katherine Schroeder, spa manager, has always been influenced by energies, which is ultimately what led her to the massage field. At an early age she took an interest in meditation and aromatherapy to help her deal with the stress of every day life. A greater understanding of world religions and Eastern philosophies was attained by extensive research and study.
After graduating high school in Rockdale county, she moved to Atlanta. Living in the big city wasn't everything Katherine thought it would be and after four years she decided to return to her roots, by moving back to Conyers. She enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at the Georgia Career Institute.
Katherine excelled at GCI. She earned Honor Roll recognition, while there, and won the Leadership Award at graduation. She especially loved her classes in aromatherapy, reflexology, and deep tissue massage. She graduated from the Georgia Career Institute in February of 2014 and received her license in Massage Therapy shortly thereafter. Katherine found the perfect fit for her kind of energy at The Upper Hand Day Spa and officially joined the team in July of 2014.
She loves creating new aromatherapy blends to enhance the clients experience in the massage room and is currently working on her Aromatherapy Certification. She holds Certifications in Body Wraps and Nutritional Wellness through M'lis, Advanced Level Certification in Reflexology, Stretch Therapy and most recently Lymphatic Drainage.
In addition to Massage services here at the spa, she performs Ear Candling, Body Treatments (including the spas newest Body Wraps) and, Ionic Detox Footbaths. Like the rest of the team, she knows the importance of continued education and versatility. She is currently working towards her Aesthetics License and is excited to offer our newest, exclusive, Jade Stone Facial as part of her facial services. Katherine has earned multiple certificates through Dermalogica in skin care modalities, as well.
