Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, cosmetic treatment in which dead skin cells and peach fuzz are removed with a scalpel by a certified, licensed aesthetician, or cosmetologist. While dermaplaning removes the fine facial hair, sometimes called "Peach Fuzz", the procedure differs from shaving. Shaving only removes hair at the surface level. Dermaplaning is designed to remove one to three layers of the epidermis.
