Microdermabrasion
Here at The Upper Hand Day Spa, we believe in delivering optimal results, giving our clients the best experience possible, our microdermabrasion services, being no different. We use the Nue Skin 100 Plus from Skin for Life, a company that specializes in equipment for advanced level skin treatments. What sets our microdermabrasion apart from the others? First, let's talk about what microdermabrasion is and how it works.
Microdermabrasion is a technique for removing the outer most layers of the epidermis, leaving a more youthful and supple appearance. Traditional Microdermabrasion involves the use of very fine crystals being blown onto the skin while at the same time vacuum suction is used to remove the crystals and dead skin cells. This is all meant to enhance the regeneration of cells, helping to improve the overall texture, tone, and clarity by revealing a more vibrant skin.
Nue Skin 100 Plus Microdermabrasion
The Nue Skin 100 offers microdermabrasion options for most skin types and skin ethnicities. Our microdermabrasion has a closed loop system and allows the skin therapist to choose from traditional Aluminum Oxide Crystals, which are excellent for retexturizing the skin, to give a more even and youthful appearance, or Organic Grains, which are 100% finely ground walnut shells. They are lighter weight than Aluminum Oxide Crystals making them an excellent choice for more sensitive skin, pigmented skin and darker skin tones.
Your skin therapist may choose to use them as the second pass over the skin, after a first pass with the crystals. or to use them as the primary treatment.
Your skin therapist also, has the ability to adjust and control the vacuum flow, to ensure client comfort and optimal crystal/organic grain distribution. Vacuum suction helps to remove dead skin cells along with the crystals/organic grains; and assists with indirect microcirculation; stimulating the lower levels of the skin.
All Microdermabrasion treatments, here at The Upper Hand Day Spa, include the additional benefits from LED Light Therapy as part of your session. RED LED Light Therapy increases Hyaluronic Acid productivity in the skin, which makes skin feel softer, appear plumper and more youthful. Blue LED Light Therapy helps tighten pores and reduce acne.

Enhance Your Microdermabrasion Session Further by upgrading the masquing portion of this service to our Oxygen Infusion Therapy.
An oxygenated environment helps skin cells thrive and proliferate. Your specific skin concern will determine which Infusion Serum we work with to repair and heal the skin. To increase the benefits of the Infusion Serum, we apply an Oxygen Infusion + Activator using a 10 psi air brush that sprays a consistent, fine mist over the Serum. This interacts with the skin enzymes to create a 21% oxygen infusion environment, as well as increased lymph circulation.
