Eighty percent of all women over the age of 20 struggle with the condition known as cellulite, regardless of weight, size or shape. Women are genetically and hormonally predisposed to cellulite, although it is sometimes seen in men as well. Certain factors increase the risk of developing this condition including smoking, lack of exercise, poor diet (eating too many processed and fatty foods) and not taking in enough fluids, especially water. Adding to this frustration is the myth that weight loss is the solution for smoothing these uneven deposits underneath the skin. For individuals with Cellulite issues we offer treatment options.
Our Detoxifying Seaweed Wrap helps to flush toxins from the affected areas; which in turn improves the appearance of cellulite, through increased blood circulation. Where is cellulite primarily seen? The most common areas are hips & buttocks, upper thighs and knees, abdomen and upper arms.
We use a mud that contains a special blend of French Green Sea Clay, Kaolin and Bentonite Clay. It also contains concentrated amounts of Jojoba, Avocado, Peach, and Sunflower Oil. Seaweed Extracts of Laminaria digitata, Bladderwrack, Spirulina, Sea Rocket, and Sea Fennel all work to help flush toxins.
We begin with dry brushing the body for exfoliation, then apply the warm mud, and wrap the body in a special material. A blanket is applied to keep you warm, and ensure your body releases stress and toxins. Clients can choose to lay back and relax for the remainder of the session, or receive a relaxing scalp massage, or a reflexology session on the feet for a small additional fee.
